There are different types of leather that are used to cover the sofas. In general, leather sofas are not removable and to avoid ruin because of the heat is a good rule not put it near radiators.

For maintenance, many sites do you recommend ways and tricks to take the sofa like new. The ideal is often dust it, clean it occasionally with a damp cloth. If you want to avoid that the leather is dry you can use a cloth dampened with a little 'milk.

Each sofa Ditre Italia comes with a kit for cleaning the leather, "leather care kit" with full instructions for use it.

How to choose the covering and color of the couch?

The sofas in fabric have removable cover, the fabric is cool and pleasant even in summer.
Ditre Italia offers hundreds of colors to cover your sofa.

Are you undecided?
The architect Carmen Granata (from Lavorincasa.it, online journal on the house)give you some advises about the colors to cover a sofa.

To cover a sofa can be used more color coatings, tone on tone or contrast between them.

Blue is a color that goes with everything: you can combine with cream or white fabrics, but also with pillows in contrasting yellow or orange, which are complementary blue.
In modern sofas blue goes well with light woods like birch and maple and metal parts, but also to the cherry and walnut.

Red and orange are particularly suitable for modern sofas and chaise-longue, while the darker shades like burgundy, combine the best environments in style.
The furniture should be in light wood for modern style, in dark wood tones for the classic ones. In this case also the colors are combined with tents and coverings.

Natural colors like white and cream particularly stand out with a wicker frame.

Dark green goes well with the white furniture in cherry and walnut. It combines the classic style, and in particular with that country.

As for fantasies, big lines, especially in shades of green and dark red, are well suited for antiques.

No more stains on your sofa

Easyfab: infinitely small with great advantages.
A range of particularly innovative upholstery from Ditre Italia in Easyfab, a high-performance fabric in synthetic fibre manufactured according to the latest principles of nanotechnology so that it always retains its original properties, with its aesthetic quality and ability to provide the highest level of comfort. Easyfab has a special finishing that makes every molecule separate from the others. It provides numerous advantages: damage due to wear and tear and washing is restricted to separate molecules, without altering those around it.
Stains can be easily removed while it provides a particularly high level of transpiration.

Easyfab upholstery guarantees:
• High resistance to wear and tear, 100,000 Martindale cycles.
• Resistance to change, even after 30 machine washes.
• Resistance to stains including coffee, wine, soft drinks and greasy substances.
• Maximum water-resistance. Liquids can be easily removed even after many hours.
• Non-allergenic properties.
• Anti-bacterial properties.
• Transpiration.

For routine maintenance:
Remove any dust with a vacuum cleaner or a soft brush. Then wipe with a cloth or sponge dampened with just water and leave to dry. Finally, revive with a soft brush.

To remove stains:
Watery substances (e.g. coffee, milk, tea, etc): just remove with a dry cloth and absorbent kitchen paper without rubbing the fabric hard. In the event of persistent stains or penetrated stains due to excessive pressure, rub gently with a damp non-abrasive sponge and, if necessary, use a small amount of neutral soap. Then rinse thoroughly with a clean sponge.
Greasy substances (e.g. oil, fat, sauces, etc): just remove with a dry cloth and absorbent kitchen paper without rubbing the fabric hard. In the event of persistent stains or penetrated stains due to excessive pressure, rub gently with a damp non-abrasive sponge and, if necessary, use a small amount of neutral soap. Then rinse thoroughly with a clean sponge.
To wash, just use a very small amount of neutral detergent, avoiding any other additional substance.

The Easyfab fabrics used for our upholstery are Oeko-Tex certified. This guarantees that during manufacturing substances harmful to humans and the environment have not been used.
